SEMH TA - Primary School

Progress Teachers are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Social, Emotional and Mental Health Assistant to join our passionate team in Improving the support and resources available to students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH).

As an SEMH TA, you will work closely with the SENCo to ensure the effective coordination and delivery of special education provision across the school. You will play a key role in supporting the inclusion of students with additional needs, working collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist in the assessment and monitoring of students with special educational needs.

* Collaborate with teachers to implement and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

* Provide guidance and support to teaching staff in adapting curriculum materials for students with additional needs.

* Liaise with parents and other professionals to enhance the support network for students.

* Contribute to the development and delivery of staff training on SEMH-related topics.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Experience working in a school or care settings.

* Additional qualification in Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) or Inclusion (desirable).

* Understanding of SEMH legislation, policies, and best practices.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

You will additionally a DBS on the update service (or willing to get on)

Schedule:

* Mornings only

* Monday to Friday

* No weekends
