Our client is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to joining there expanding team in Rochester, Kent.

About the role:

You will have overall responsibility and be central to the procurement functions within the Finance team, effectively manage your team to help support this.
Youll play a key role in the development and implementation of relevant procurement strategies to embed compliance, in line with industry best practice and deliver value for money.

You will be expected to lead on providing a service that is responsible for:

Driving an effective and value-added procurement plan, executing, and monitoring our procurement and insurance strategies and processes.
Provide specialist advice and support on a broad range of procurement activities including complex above threshold spend, as well as reporting on the overall procurement and contract management performance.

About You:

Be able to demonstrate considerable managerial experience in a public or highly regulated procurement team utilising your confident decision-making and exceptional organisational and time management skills to deliver on time projects.
Have strong analytical skills to be able to interpret complex issues and the ability to motivate, encourage and support your team and the business in all procurement activities, delivering to strict deadlines whilst managing conflicting priorities.
You will have an excellent level of attention to detail and an inquiring mind to strategically recognise opportunities and be able to provide professional advice.
Be able to influence, persuade and direct the procurement activities of the organisation, whilst maintaining your credibility and integrity.
Be able to clearly evidence your MCIPS qualification and be educated to graduate (or equivalent) level and or provide clear evidence of an equivalent level of professional experience.
