Head of Quality QA and QI (Group)

College location: East Surrey College (Redhill) and John Ruskin College (Croydon)

Salary: £40,000 £45,000 (dependent on qualifications, skills and experience)

Hours: Full time (37 hours/week)

A unique, exciting opportunity has arisen to join our College group as Head of Quality.

The role will join an existing team responsible for the quality assurance and quality improvement of teaching and learning along with compliance to awarding body requirements. You will lead on quality assurance and improvement across the College group working with a team to support the development of new lecturers as they enter into the teaching profession.

Through professional leadership you will ensure that the Colleges quality improvement programme is effective in promoting and supporting outstanding teaching and learning in addition to ensuring teaching and learning follows the most up to date and highly effective pedagogical practices.

The successful candidate must have:

* A Degree (First of Upper Second)

* Teaching qualification

* Experience of curriculum development

* Experience of quality assurance including lesson observation or actively supporting teaching and learning within the FE/HE educational setting

* Ability to interpret, interrogate, synthesize, and make effective use of data and information.

* Ability to think strategically about the future direction of quality assurance and enhancement and academic developments to drive increased student numbers.

* Willingness to work flexibility and to travel and work across college sites and the UK to drive recruitment forward.
