Progress Teachers are seeking an experienced and dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join our team in Leicester/Leicestershire area. The ideal candidate will work closely with pupils with SEMH or challenging behaviour who require extra support and guidance to engage positively with their learning and strive for academic and personal success. There is an opportunity for the right candidate to go permanent.

Responsibilities:

* Provide one-on-one and group support to students with behavioural challenges, implementing tailored behaviour management strategies.

* Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to develop and implement behaviour support plans.

* Monitor and assess student behaviour, identifying triggers and implementing proactive interventions.

* Organise and lead workshops or training sessions for students, staff, and parents on behaviour management and positive reinforcement techniques.

* Act as a liaison between the school, parents, and external agencies involved in behaviour support.

* Work closely with the school leadership team to contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide behaviour policies.

What we are looking for

* Proven experience as a Behaviour Mentor or in a similar role in an educational setting.

* Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and positive behaviour support strategies.

* Ability to communicate clearly and concisely verbally and in writing.

* A highly driven, enthusiastic and resilient individual.

* Certification in behaviour intervention or related field is a plus.

* Knowledge of Health and Safety in a school environment and ability to promote safeguarding of children.

You will additionally a DBS on the update service (or willing to get on)
