TRANSPORT PLANNER REQUIRED FOR SOUTH CHESHIRE BASED COMPANY!

MIDDLEWICH AREA
FULL TIME PERMANENT
£28K-£32K DOE

THE ROLE

Working in a busy logistics team, the Transport Planner will be responsible for:

* The effective daily route planning of a team of drivers for routes all over the UK.

* Dealing with any driver issues, vehicle breakdowns and working closely with a wide range of customers.

* Arranging vehicle maintenance and issuing PPE required for the driver team.

* Maintaining fuel records, providing monthly information to senior management and ensuring all transport operations comply with legal and health and safety requirements.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

* Previous experience of working in a fast placed logistics environment, with specific experience of driver management and route planning.

* Excellent geographical knowledge of the UK and be highly organised, together with the ability to work on your own initiative within a busy, faced paced environment.

* A CPC Qualification would also be considered preferable but is not essential.

* Freight forwarding experience would be advantageous

* Strong IT skills.

Due to the location of the Transport Planner role, it is advisable for interested applicants to possess access to their own transport.
