Health & Safety Team Leader | Didcot, Oxfordshire | £60K + 30 days holiday + 10.5 bank holidays + Christmas shutdown + flexible working + generous CARE pension* + benefits

A unique opportunity to join an internationally renowned scientific research facility, leading a team of 11 to deliver high standards of health & safety leadership and management across this complex site. This high-profile role reports directly to the Head of Safety, Health & Environment and works closely with a wide range of stakeholders, offering great opportunities to use and develop your skills to make a difference to UK science.

Typical responsibilities include:

* Lead a team to deliver professional Health & Safety advice and guidance

* Implement and monitor Health, Safety & Environmental management systems

* Maintain positive working relationships and organisational safety culture

* Manage investigations, reporting and safety performance

* Work closely with committees, trade unions, scientists, safety representatives, responsible persons, and external regulatory bodies

* Prepare and deliver engaging, innovative and effective training

We are looking for someone with Health & Safety leadership and management experience, effective communication skills and the ability to engage and influence a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will hold:

* CMIOSH status (or working towards)

* NEBOSH Diploma or other Level 5/6/7 Health & Safety qualification

* Experience in the science, engineering or technology sector
