Group Financial Accountant | North Manchester (2 days in office) | £50,000 - £55,000 | PE backed

Axon Moore are working with a market leading PE backed services business who are searching for a Group Financial Accountant to join their newly created group function.

As the Group Financial Accountant, you will be expected to demonstrate initiative and leadership skills, be a confident communicator and have experience of maintaining strong and robust financial controls and processes. You will be responsible for:

Production of accurate group consolidated monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cashflow statement) in line with deadlines
Responsible for monthly and ad-hoc reporting to Private Equity owners
Month-end ledger close for bank, accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger for all companies
Ownership of certain central cost centres, ensuring management accounts are accurate and challenging the results against budget
Responsible for maintaining detailed balance sheet reconciliations for all companies.
Preparation of statutory accounts for several entities under the Group
Budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for internal and external stakeholders
Improve current group reporting, ensuring there is a defined process when new acquisitions are brought into the group and all relevant data is held centrally
Preparation of financial reports on a timely basis, providing accurate commentary and investigation into variances when required
Assist with new acquisitions where needed and ensure their results can be consolidated into the group accounts
Person specification:

ACA/ACCA Qualified with a top 10 accounting background
Offer considerable experience in preparing and/or auditing statutory accounts
Possess strong numeracy and analytical skills, supported by excellent technical skills.
Strong excel skills
