The School and Role

Vision for Education are currently recruiting for a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to work with children on a 1:1 basis in a Specialist Provision. The successful candidate must have experience working with children with SEN including ASD and ADHD. Your job role will include:

Supporting the class teacher and taking lead with other colleagues

Be able to establish strong working relationships with the children, colleagues and parents

Be confident to access and develop individuals

Excellent communication and written skills

The school is a vibrant and diverse primary school located in the centre of Barnsleyproviding education for children aged 3 to 11 years. The school nurture a caring community with a warm and friendly ethos. The school providehigh standards of learning and ensure all children learn to the best of their ability.

Requirements

The desired Higher-Level Teaching Assistant will have;

Have an excellent understanding of how children learn

Motivate and inspire children

Have a positive working attitude and committed to continually improve teaching practice

Be organised, punctual and adaptable
