Abatec is looking to recruit an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor on a freelance basis. Our client, a Tier 1 contractor, is working on a highways scheme in the Cornwall area. The successful candidate will have a background of working for Tier 1 contractors, NEC forms of contract and will be responsible for subcontractor management, applications, and payments.

As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will:

* Maintain accurate records, control, and reconcile costs and value, and report variances against agreed performance, compliance, and finance targets

* Be involved in a review of current procedures and processes and assist in the implementation of new and revised processes where required

* Manage final accounts

Our client requires a Quantity Surveyor with:

* Previous experience of working for a Civil Engineering contractor

* Previous highways experience

* Previous NEC form of contract experience

* Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying

Salary/Benefits:

* £375 - £450 p/day CIS
