Jet Vac Tanker Driver (HGV)

The Client
We are currently working on behalf of a rapidly expanding, independent specialist with an impeccable reputation. The company is a specialist regional contractor across the drainage, environmental, rail, telecoms and traffic managements industries. They pride themselves on developing their employees and delivering excellent levels of customer service and client satisfaction.
The Role
This is a full-time vacancy employed directly through our clients company and will involve collecting the vehicle, daily from the Abingdon region. Working with the wider team of Drainage Engineers at site, you will be responsible for providing a range of emergency and contracted services to commercial customers.(Training will be given, if not experienced within drainage engineer responsibilities)
* Working hours are Mon - Fri 8am - 4.30pm (over time thereafter at time and a half) 40 hours contracted week
* On-call rota is 1 weekend in 5
* Time and a half is paid for Saturday working and double time for Sunday working
Key Responsibilities
The types of work that you will undertake will include operating a jet vac tanker & jetting equipment to respond to emergency blockages and maintenance of various customer sites across Oxfordshire and the surrounding area, delivering a quality service with professionalism and respect.
Jet Vac Operators must ensure vehicles are always ready to go and kept in good working order.
The Requirements
* Must have a HGV 2 Licence and valid CPC
* Ideally you need to be experience within the drainage industry, ideally on Jet Vac or within Environmental Services (waste water etc)
* Experience of using jetting equipment
* HPWJ (high pressure water jetting) ticket - advantageous but not necessary
* Full UK driving licence Class 2 with valid CPC Essential
The Rewards
Our client offers a competitive rate of between £17-18 per hour (£35,000 - £37,500 per annum). You will also get enhanced rate overtime, additional pay for travel time and call outs and out of hour allowances as well as other great company benefits such as their auto-enrolment pension scheme and paid holiday allowance. A structured approach to training and developing your career with one of the regions premium drainage specialists. Realistic OTE for this role are in the region of £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
