Our client based in Sheffield have an opportunity for a Procurement Operative to join the Team. The Role of the Procurement Operative is to produce Test specimens to a supplied specification.

The Role:

* Ensure safe working practices are always adhered to.

* Operation and maintenance of all associated equipment

* Ensure processed material conforms to customers order requirements

* Ensure job card information is understood and completed on a shift basis.

* Check all Quality and relevant paperwork to ensure that it meets requirements.

* Sawing, abrasive cutting, acid etching, sample preparation and forging.

Required:

* Excellent communication skills.

* Computer literate in the use of Microsoft office (Excel etc.).

* Experience in the use and maintenance of bandsaws and abrasive cutting machines.

* Experience in sample preparation in readiness for metallurgical examination.

* Experience in sample preparation in readiness for metallurgical examination.

* Experience in the operation of a manual forging operations
