The Company:
ER Recruitment is proud to be working with our client, a well-known business support organisation based in the East Midlands who are looking for an Employment Advisor Team Leader to join their Employment Services department, where you will play a key role in steering the team who help people with mental or physical barriers find, enter and sustain paid work.
Role & Responsibilities of the Senior Employment Advisor:
* Effectively manage a small caseload of clients to achieve their employment goal taking into consideration the individuals preferences, skills/experience and barriers to employment.
* Meet and support participants to understand their key skills, aspirations and to help them obtain and sustain competitive employment.
* Support participants with their job search, CV production, application forms, interview techniques and career development.
* Actively identify and develop new relationships and strong links with local employers to facilitate introductions to participants using multiple methods of engagement such as phone calling, networking and in person meetings.
* Provide job sustainment interventions to service users to enable the person to address in-work support needs whilst sustaining their employment, for example, negotiating adjustments to the job role with employers.
* Supervise, support and develop new and established Employment Advisors, providing IAG on best practice, compliance and caseload management.
* Provide specific employment and job sustainment support to the team, providing an enhanced level of expertise and delivering agreed development /action plans / identified and specific work; prioritising the most complex cases.
* Provide weekly forecasts to the Service Manager and provide additional information when requested to support service improvements through monitoring/auditing data.
* Adhere to administrative and data capture protocols which record the progress of participants, and to keep accurate and complete records of casework.
* Ensure all relevant policies are implemented such as information governance and safeguarding.
* Protecting organisation's value by keeping information confidential and ensuring all personal data for which you are responsible within the business is held in accordance with GDPR.
About You as the Senior Employment Advisor:
* Experience/understanding of working with people who have mental or physical needs or similar (health, social service or voluntary sector)
* Proven background leading a team of Employment Advisors
* Level 3 Certificate in Information, Advice and Guidance and Mental Health Awareness Level 2?
* A can-do, upbeat and energetic attitude with the ability to show compassion and build rapport with participants as well as motivate them and support them to achieve their goals.
* Confident delivering employability support both one-to-one and in group settings.
* Excellent local knowledge of support services and employment opportunities.
* Passionate about helping people to achieve their potential.
* Be dependable, reliable, trustworthy and capable of exercising diplomacy.
