Sabio Recruitment require a Bid Manager to join a Technical Engineering company based in Chelmsford. In the RF (Radio Frequency) Power Division you will report to the Business Director, support the growth of the business and lead the portfolio of strategic bids across different product and market sectors. Deliver short term financial objectives, ensuring they are aligned with the strategic goals of the business, and support the Sales team in writing customer proposals. Responsibilities:
* Arrange initial bid/no bid meetings with all stakeholders to ensure the internal requirements are met for "requests for quotation"
* Liaise with the Sales & Business teams to understand the background for requests for quotation and the customers' requirements
* Work in partnership with Procurement, Engineering, Project Managers, Finance and Manufacturing to obtain costs to support the bid
* Develop pricing modules in partnership with Finance and the Business Director to aid the bid strategy
* Prepare the bid packages and gain approval with the Senior Leadership team
* Assist the Sales team with the preparation of customer proposals
* Update the SAP CRM order opportunity report on a regular basis
* Hold weekly meetings with the Sales, Business and Supply Chain teams to ensure an accurate order pipeline is maintained
* Provide updated reports to the Senior Management teams as required
* Be a critical stakeholder in all revenue management activities to support and delegate for the Business Director
* Maintain a good awareness of the business performance against all financial KPI's
* Maintain and produce several reports including but not limited to: orders, year summary, weekly, monthly, sales dashboard, financial objectives,
* Provide support and training to the Sales team on SAP C4 forecasting (including leads, opportunities and quotes)
* Provide training to the Sales team on entering customer information and visit reports in SAP C4 to maintain accurate records
Experience:
* Minimum 2 years in a Bid Manager or similar role
