About The Role
In order to facilitate the requirement for 50 gigawatts of renewable energy to be online by 2030, the electricity transmission market will see unprecedented growth. For Morrison Energy Services this means there are many high voltage overhead line and substation projects coming to market, both new build and upgrading of existing infrastructure. To meet this demand, our business needs to grow across the board and specifically within our bidding department.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Bid Manager to join our growing team.This is a hybrid role and will require 2/3 days working from our Annesley office in Nottinghamshire.
Previous experience in the electricity transmission industry is not required. In this role you will be part of our Bids Department, responsible for successfully securing new contracts for the business to deliver.
As the Bid Manager your duties & responsibilities will be:
* Support the Head of Bids as part of the MESTN Bids Team to ensure robust process management and bidding best practice is applied to bids
* Instil a culture of review, constructive challenge, and refinement at every stage of the bid lifecycle to maximise the value of proposals and increase win rates
* Ensuring clear, effective, and rationalised win strategies are developed and consistently applied
* Collaborating with different departments and internal customers from around the business to lead effective bid teams and ensure the optimum use of resources and bid budgets
* Drive the development of robust and competitive solutions, along with leading the development of proposal documentation and technical responses in accordance with Company and Group Procedures
* Develop and own the bid programme from bid inception to contract award, and will have responsibility for managing the bid team to ensure all key milestones are met
* This is a highly networked and flexible role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines.
