Yorkshire Precision Engineering Ltd are a successful busy family run Sub Contract Engineering Company, offering excellent rates of pay to the right candidate. Supplying components to a wide variety of industries including subsea, medical, hydraulic industries, Oil and Gas, Food Industry and General engineering.
We operate Fixed/ Sliding Head Lathes, VMCs & Assembly.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Quality Inspector
* Duties to include:
* Inspecting 1st and last off components
* 100 % Dimensional and visual inspection of components manufactured on-site (batch patrol inspection)
* Working to fine tolerances
* CMM experience preferable
* ISIR Reports
* Patrolling the Despatch area to ensure parts are packed correctly
* Putting procedures in place e.g. check frequencys/ ordering plug gauges / looking at thumb nail gauges/ SPC analysis on the CMM.

* Previous inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
* Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with people on all levels.
* Good problem solving skills and a proactive attitude regarding issues.
* Be able to work successfully as part of a team & able to use own initiative.
* ability to interpret engineering drawing.
* Able to use Verniers, Micrometers, height gauge, shadow graph, DTI.
* Knowledge of GD&T
* Desirable CMM experience
* Computer literacy Microsoft word & Excel
* Good time keeping and attendance record.
Holidays are standard 25 days per year plus statutory days.
HOURS OF WORK:
Mon: 7.00am 4.15pm
Tues: 7.00am 4.15pm
Wed: 7.00am 4.15pm
Thurs: 7.00am 4.15pm
Fri: 7.00am 12pm
Lunchbreak: ½ hour 12.30-1pm
40 Hours per week
Pay period Monthly by BACS Transfer

Benefits: Overtime paid at time + half
