Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, preferably within the construction industry, and possess exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and leadership abilities.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and payroll.
* Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to provide insight into the company's financial performance.
* Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
* Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and working capital to optimize financial resources.
* Coordinate and lead the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing variance analysis and financial reporting to senior management.
* Collaborate with project managers and operational teams to monitor project financial performance and ensure profitability.
* Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
* Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
* 5+ years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably in the construction industry.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and budgeting techniques.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
* Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
* Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting and analysis.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
