As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a detail-oriented Document Controller to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient management and organization of project documentation.
Our client is seeking a diligent Document Controller to oversee the management, distribution, and organization of project documents and records. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced construction environment. Responsibilities:
* Establish and maintain document control procedures to ensure the accurate management and distribution of project documentation.
* Receive, review, and log incoming project documents, including drawings, specifications, contracts, and correspondence.
* Organize and maintain electronic and physical document filing systems, ensuring easy retrieval and accessibility for project teams.
* Distribute documents to appropriate stakeholders, both internally and externally, in accordance with project requirements and timelines.
* Monitor document workflows and track document revisions, ensuring version control and document integrity.
* Assist project teams in locating and retrieving documents as needed, providing support for document queries and requests.
* Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate the timely exchange of project documentation.
* Conduct regular audits of document control processes and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
Qualifications:
* 2+ years of experience in document control, preferably within the construction industry or a related field.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in document handling and data entry.
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across project teams and stakeholders.
* Familiarity with construction documentation, including drawings, specifications, contracts, and RFIs.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
