Job Coach - Supported Internships (part time) based in Oswestry, Shropshire offering a salary of 18k - 20K FTE

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Job Coach - Supported Internships. The post would entail embedding of employability skills and functional skills within workplace. To mentor intern within provision and external placements. To liaise with Supported Internship Coordinator and work placement on delivery of Supported Internship programme.
The key role responsibilities are:
Support intern with embedding employability and functional skills learning within work placements
Administration work relating to intern records, learning plans, database recording and reporting.
Build relationships with intern, managers and employees within work placements
Liaise with managers and employees to develop roles for intern
Communicate the needs of the intern to managers and employees within the relevant areas of the placements
Plan internship placements, liaising with Supported Internship Coordinator
Arrange contingency plans for any potential problems/staff absence
Delivery of travel training to intern specific to placement
Learn the different roles within the placements and develop appropriate resources, in line with college procedures
Support intern in placement
Attend intern review meetings and provide feedback on progress
Ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to
Manage interns' portfolio and support intern to build CV
Support intern with additional needs including medication, physical and learning specific adaptations, mentoring support and liaise with work placement on these
Ensure that intern adheres to the Health and Safety guidelines at both placement and college
Ensure own CPD remains current and relevant to role
Person Specification:
Level 2 Vocational Qualification
Functional Skills qualification or similar at Level 2
Specialist qualification (or prepared to work towards)
Knowledge of working in an SEND environment
Experience of working with external stakeholders
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues and external stakeholders
Proven success of working within a similar role
Travel training experience desirable
Experience of job-carving desirable
Highly motivated individual
Driving License
