Our client based in Oldham is looking for a skilled person to join their busy sheet metal workshop and assist with the labouring duties. Full training will be given but if you have past experience within a similar fabrication / sheet metal setting then this would be an advantage.

Job Responsibilities:

General cleaning and tidiness within the workshop area.

*

Assembling some of the bespoke products from drawings.

*

Cutting sheet metal to size.

*

Primarily working with stainless steel.

*

Potentially doing site work and assisting in some of the installation work.

*

Assisting to load and unload deliveries.

*

Supplying materials to work benches in preparation for the welder / fabricators.

*

Adhering to all heal and safety regulations.

Job Requirements:

*

Past experience working with sheet metal (Ideally worked with stainless steel previously)

*

Confident with manual handling and comfortable with repetitive heavy lifting.

*

Must have your own PPE.

*

Ideally have a valid driving licence.

Hours:

Monday Thursday 8am 5pm

Friday 7am 12pm

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy friendly team in a physical role that could result in long term work for the right person. Should the right person be successful then once they have completed the training there may be an opportunity for further training and qualifications to be achieved.
