Sewing Machinist
Pay - £11.44 per hour
Days Monday to Friday
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Machinist to join our team. As a Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts. This is a full-time position in our warehouse facility.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to produce precision parts
- Read blueprints, sketches, or specifications to determine the dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces
- Measure, examine, and test completed parts to ensure they meet specifications
- Adjust machine controls and change tool settings to keep dimensions within specified tolerances
- Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure their optimal performance
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient production processes
Skills:
- Proficient in operating various machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders
- Strong knowledge of reading blueprints, sketches, or specifications
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments to ensure the accuracy of finished workpieces
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong mathematical skills for calculating dimensions and tolerances
- Good communication skills for collaborating with team members
Hours:
* Monday to Friday
* 07:30am to 17:00ph
Pay: £11.44ph
