Position: Full-Time DT Teacher

Location: Andover, Hampshire

Start Date: March 18th, 2024

Overview of the Job:

As a Full-Time DT Teacher in Andover, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of designers, engineers, and innovators. Your responsibilities will include developing and delivering engaging DT lessons that foster critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and hands-on learning experiences. From woodworking to electronics, you will guide students through the design process, encouraging creativity and experimentation while ensuring safety and adherence to best practices. Collaborating with colleagues, you will contribute to the development of the DT curriculum and participate in extracurricular activities and school events. About the School:

The School is a mixed school based in Salisbury for students aged from 4+ years with around 900 students in total. The school comes with a Good reputation and has supportive team members that cares deeply for their values. The school also provides free onsite parking.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Education, Design and Technology, or a related field.

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.

- Previous experience teaching DT at the secondary level preferred.

- Strong knowledge and expertise in DT subjects, including woodworking, electronics, and design processes.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.

- Commitment to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.

- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the development of the DT curriculum.

- Willingness to participate in extracurricular activities and school events as needed.
