Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Urology Locum to join our team. In this role, you will provide expert medical care and treatment to patients with urological disorders and conditions. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic and compassionate Urologist to make a significant impact in healthcare while enjoying the flexibility and variety of locum work.

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments and examinations of patients presenting with urological symptoms and conditions.
Diagnose and treat a wide range of urological disorders and diseases, including urinary tract infections, kidney stones, prostate enlargement, erectile dysfunction, and urinary incontinence.
Perform surgical procedures, such as cystoscopies, ureteroscopies, nephrectomies, prostatectomies, and bladder surgeries, as needed.
Interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies to aid in the diagnosis and management of urological conditions.
Prescribe medications and other treatment modalities to alleviate symptoms, manage pain, and improve patient outcomes.
Provide patient education and counseling on preventive measures, lifestyle modifications, and self-care strategies.
Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including nurses, radiologists, oncologists, and physiotherapists, to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, case conferences, and clinical audits to review patient cases, discuss treatment options, and evaluate outcomes.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient histories, examination findings, diagnostic test results, and treatment plans.
Adhere to relevant clinical guidelines, protocols, and quality standards to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Requirements:

Medical degree from a recognized medical school
Completion of specialty training in Urology and certification by the relevant medical board or authority
Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) or eligibility for registration
Proven experience working as a Urology Consultant or Registrar in a hospital or clinical setting
Demonstrated proficiency in diagnosing and managing a wide range of urological disorders and conditions
Excellent surgical skills and experience performing a variety of urological procedures
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with colleagues
Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and improving patient outcomes
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment
Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as required
