Position Overview:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring a productive and safe learning environment. You will follow pre-prepared lesson plans and manage student behaviour, allowing for continuity in the learning process. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a classroom setting, develop your teaching skills, and positively impact students' educational journey.

Responsibilities:

- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans to classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Manage student behaviour and enforce school policies and procedures.
- Ensure students' safety and well-being during lessons and break times.
- Support students with their learning and provide assistance when needed.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and behaviour.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure a smooth transition during cover periods.
- Uphold the professional standards and values of the school.

Requirements:

- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Experience working with secondary school students in an educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and effectively manage a classroom.
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to different school environments.
- Confidence in dealing with student behaviour and classroom management.
- Organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
- A genuine interest in education and supporting young learners.
