GSL is proud to be working exclusively with a lovely SEN Primary School in Winchester who are seeking a full time SEN Teaching Assistants to start in November.
We are currently working We are looking for a pro-active and personable individual to support in KS3 and KS4 classes who cater for pupils with SEN and SEMH needs. The schools focus is providing a nurturing environment that enables the pupils to engage successfully in all aspects of learning.

Role and Responsibilities:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs and challenging behaviours. Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the class Teacher (4-8 pupils per class)
Supporting with outdoor day trips and activity days
Embrace all aspects of the schools visions and core values
Working with pupils with ASC, complex needs, challenging behaviours
Full-time 8:30am to 3:30pm
1:1 and small group work ensuring pupils stay on track with the curriculum.
The ideal candidate will:
Have lots of patience, be proactive and resilient! - this role can be challenging, but it is very rewarding!
Experience working within a SEND/SEMH school (not essential)
A strong ability to develop relationships and rapport with pupils
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
