A cutting-edge Aerospace & Defence organisation have a challenging opportunity for a Production Planner to join their growing Operations team.

The Production Planner MRP plans, coordinates and expedites the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to daily and weekly production schedules.

Duties include reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules; conferring with relevant manufacturing managers to determine progress of work and completion dates; inventory levels, and solving production problems.

Requirements - Production Planner MRP

Create production schedules and prioritise Works orders for production optimization.
Release and maintain Works orders and prepare any other documents (PP's, etc) required for production.
Ensure daily production requirements are achieved and update relevant visual mgt boards to reflect all customer expectations.
Complete status reports for production progress, work in process and inventory.
Interact with the relevant manufacturing manager on a daily basis to resolve issues regarding manufacturing efficiencies or additional information such as staff availability (Sickness, leave, etc).
Maintains production planning parameters in the MRP system to support effective planning.

Knowledge/Experience - Production Planner MRP

Experience in the use and maintenance of MRP systems
3 years' experience in a planning environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint/Word.
