Secondary School Geography Teacher

Supply Desk are recruiting for a rapidly improving school in the Leighton BUzzard area in their search for a Geography Teacher. The school is highly-regarded in the local community and Governors and staff employed at the school are committed and work hard to create an exciting and engaging curriculum for all students.

This school believe in getting the basics right; and they have focused on developing a safe, calm and purposeful learning environment with excellent student behaviour and a smart college style uniform. The role has the potential of going permanent in the next academic year.

Geography Teacher Requirements:

A Qualified Teacher (QTS)/ overseas Trained to UK equivalent

Encouraging and effective classroom management skills

Interested in working in a popular, vibrant school working towards being outstanding

Eager to work with young learners in need of nurturing

The curriculum is effective in all key stages and provides good opportunities for pupils personal, social and academic development.

THE ROLE:

This position is full-time or part-time. You will be expected to perform the full teaching role and take on extra responsibilities where required. You will be paid to scale in line with this position. You will be delivering the subject of Geography at KS3, KS4 and KS5.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS for a Geography Teacher:

QTS or overseas equivalent qualification

UK experience and/or experience in long-term positions with similar age groups
