The Role
Health and Safety Advisor:
Take reasonable measures to safeguard personal and others' health and safety at work.
Collaborate with employers and relevant parties to support the fulfilment of statutory duties and requirements.
Comprehend, adhere to, and enforce the company's health and safety policy.
Monitor and uphold the well-being of all employees and subcontractors.
Foster a positive health and safety culture within the organization, setting an example.
Perform a minimum of 6 IMS525 inspections, covering crews, depots, and contractors, and report findings to the Health and Safety Manager.
Provide guidance and support to Managers in thorough investigations of occupational accidents and incidents using the company's 2, 2, 2 process, producing comprehensive reports with supplementary evidence, with assistance from the Health and Safety Manager.
Compile monthly SHE KPI reports for the contract and submit them to the Health and Safety Manager.
Familiarise yourself with the company's fire and first aid procedures and emergency evacuation protocols.
Qualifications / Proficiency:
Demonstrated prior experience in the utility or construction sector, focusing on Health and Safety concerns
Hold a NEBOSH General certificate
Maintain Technical Membership with IOSH
Possess training in accident investigation
Proficient in the Microsoft Suite, with advanced skills in Word and Excel
