We have an opportunity for an Electrical Designer to join our team. The work will entail design of panel and field installations from concept to on-site commissioning relating to automated control systems.

Key Responsibilities

Generate Panel Layouts and bills of materials.

LV distribution and cable calculations

Generating electrical control schematic diagrams

Generating instrument loop diagrams

Generating PLC wiring diagrams and I/O schedules

Machinery safety circuit design and risk assessments to BS EN ISO 13849/60261

Preparation of Supporting Technical Documents

Skills and Experience

A work history of electrical design preferably within an industrial environment

Have knowledge / experience of machine safety and safety circuits. It would be an advantage to understand component SIL and machine PL ratings, however, training can be provided if required.

Preferably have knowledge of PLC control wiring systems, instrumentation and motor starter control types

Experience of AutoCad, Amtech

Specific Qualifications

Hold Electrical qualifications BTEC and/or NVQ3

18th Edition

A work history of electrical design preferably within an industrial environment
