They have an opportunity for an Infrastructure Engineer to join their Infrastructure Team based in Leeds City Centre.
This is not a role within an internal IT department, instead our client provides managed services across various platforms. As an infrastructure Engineer you'll manage a varied portfolio, engaging with a number of projects, suppliers and clients.
In addition to technical administration and support activities you will also be required to operate within the same Service Management processes and procedures as all other Service Delivery Team staff.
These include:
Managing tickets through an ITIL-based, ISO 20000 certified full-service life cycle
Analysing tickets to identify whether they can be resolved within the Service Delivery team or if they need to be assigned to a specialist technician or resource
Ensuring tickets are updated and customers are kept informed of progress.
Contributing to service improvement programmes across the department and with clients.
Working in conjunction with the Service Delivery, Release Management and Development Support staff, as well as wider departments such as Project Management, Account Management and specialist Developers.
Assisting in their Change Management, Problem Management and Service Reporting processes.
About you
Their ideal candidate will be driven and have experience of working within a similar role with the below knowledge and skills.
Microsoft Azure Certifications.
Strong knowledge of Windows Server Infrastructure and configuration.
Strong knowledge of Web Services, Web Apps/IIS etc.
Strong knowledge of Networking, ie routing/DNS etc.
Strong knowledge of Virtualization, Vmware/HyperV.
Strong knowledge of Azure and Aws Cloud technologies.
Firewall configuration and troubleshooting.
Proactive platform monitoring.
Load Balancer Setup and Configuration.
Active Directory Setup and configuration.
Planning for and executing patching of Servers, using tools such as WSUS.
Powershell knowledge.
Database knowledge.
