Job Title; Valve Technician

Salary; £33,00 - £34,000 per annum

Shift Pattern; Monday - Friday, 08:00am - 16:30pm

Location; Chesterfield, Derbyshire

Our client, a leading engineering company is offering an exciting opportunity to join their team as a Valve Technician. Youll be responsible for the supply, service, repair and re-certify control valves, safety valves and instrumentation and our customers base includes power generation, oil refinery, gas networks, energy from waste, chemical manufacturing and all process industries across the UK.

The Valve Technician Role;

* Use measuring and test equipment

* Inspect, disassemble, overhaul , valves and ancillary equipment.

* Ability to operate company portal software and update records for test certification and inventory management.

* Assemble, test, and troubleshoot valves and other equipment per applicable codes and standards per manufacturer and/or customer requirements

* Operate diagnostic equipment EVT,

* Perform calibration of measurement equipment in accordance with internal quality procedures

* Assemble new valves from Multiplex stock in compliance with job sheet details

* Fits, aligns, calibrates, and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements

* Live on-site testing of safety valves utilising an assist lift device (AVK)

* On-site servicing of control valves and safety relief valves.

The Valve Technician Candidate;

* Full UK driving license will be required

* Experience working valves / engineering background.

The Valve Technician Benefits;

* Additional Hours worked outside of these times will be payable at 1.5x ( £24.00 ) Mon 00.00 - Sat 12.00 and 2x (£32.00 Hr) Sat 12.00 - Sunday.

* Company vehicle will be available following successful training.

* 20 days holiday + Bank Holidays

* Training available both in house and abroad.
