Salary: £29,303 per annum

We currently have a vacancy within the Housing Support Team for a Housing Support Officer taking the lead on supporting individuals affected by rough sleeping to secure & sustain a tenancy with Stockport Homes.
What you will be responsible for:

Providing intensive housing management & person-centred support to individuals affected by entrenched rough sleeping
*
Support entrenched rough sleepers to address issues attributing to homelessness & sustain tenancies
*
Conducting regular tenancy visits, reviewing support plans & completing risk assessments
*
Working closely alongside the Team Leaders, you will be responsible for developing the overall service and championing excellence in safeguarding practices

Patience and resilience in the face of challenging circumstances.

A valid drivers licence and access to your own vehicle.

Experience working with vulnerable individuals who may have substance or alcohol misuse, mental health issues or physical health problems. Many of the people youll support may have lost tenancies because of anti-social behaviour or rent arrears.
*
Robust IT skills and experience of Microsoft packages, in order to effectively manage caseloads
Youll have 1- or 2-years experience in this field and are looking to step into a role that will be a launchpad for advancing your career. You may have previously worked as a Homelessness Outreach Worker, a Housing Support Officer or a Substance Misuse Worker.
