Welder Fabricator

Salary: Up to £36,500 per annum (equivalent to £18.00 per hour)
Additional Time and a Half Overtime Rate, up to £27.00 per hour.
Ample working hours available.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, with a 12:00 mid-day finish on Fridays.
Start: Immediate start available - Permanent position.
Location: Cambourne - St. Neots - Huntingdon area. Own transport is necessary due to the rural location (No public transport).

We are seeking a versatile Welder Fabricator with extensive experience in TIG welding, particularly with stainless steel, to join a thriving engineering company in the Cambourne/Sandy area.

Basic Function:

Conduct welding and fabrication in stainless steel materials ranging from 1.0mm to 12mm thickness, including pipework and purge. Proficiency in both TIG and Synergic MIG welding processes is essential. The role demands expertise in reading engineering drawings, understanding tolerances, bend allowances, and hands-on experience with fabrication and sheet-metal machinery.

Welder Responsibilities:

Perform TIG and MIG welding techniques for metal components.
Interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Utilise hand and power tools for cutting, grinding, and shaping metal components.
Ensure all welding work meets high standards and complies with quality control criteria.

Work Hours:

39 hours per week.
Monday to Friday (Early finish on Fridays).
Start time: 7:30 am.
Finish times: Monday 4:00 pm, Tuesday 4:30 pm, Wednesday & Thursday 5:00 pm, and Friday 12:00 mid-day.
