Copello have partnered with an established Air Traffic Management business in the recruitment of a Technical Service Authority. This role offers flexibility in terms of onsite working as well as a competitive remuneration package.

The Technical Service Authority is responsible for providing architectural oversight to the assigned partition of the engineered system.

Role Responsibilities:

Safety:

- Accountable manager with Safety responsibilities, holding a delegated Safety Authority Letter (SLA) for Technical Services and equipment.

- Assure equipment and thread level safety cases, including hazard analysis.

- Support safety case reviews and initiate additional reviews in response to significant events.

- Manage safety investigations with internal/external agencies and OEMs.

- Advise and assist the Head of Service Design & Solutions in safety accountability.

- Manage the review of DASORs and initiate further action as needed.

Delivery:

- Support the development of the requirements baseline for existing and new Technical Services.

- Participate in the Engineering Lifecycle/Acceptance and Commissioning Process.

- Conduct quality and software audits ensuring Technical Services meet contracted requirements.

- Ensure Technical Services achieve contractual availability or implement appropriate measures.

Through Life Management:

- Provide support and cost financial projections for Service components.

- Monitor through-life asset performance data and identify trends for timely intervention.

- Support the identification of mitigation action for technical obsolescence.

Change:

- Generate Engineering submissions for Change Proposals.

- Advise stakeholders on changing requirements and provide impact assessments.

- Assess and capture the impact of change in the requirements baseline.

Post Design Services:

- Review and approve maintenance documentation.

- Assess OEM and modification proposals.

- Assess System and Software update proposals.

- Assess and authorize OEM maintenance strategies/policies.

- Initiate and manage problems with allocated systems.

Technical Advice:

- Provide design/engineering guidance to management.

- Provide support to operators and maintainers on equipment use.

- Guide and manage the integration of 3rd party equipment into Technical Services.

Person Specification:

- Extensive relevant domain experience, degree in engineering or equivalent professional qualification.

- Experience in Air Traffic Management or similar regulatory/safety environment.

- Ability to work in a safety-related industry and champion the Safety Culture.

- Commitment and appreciation for designing and supporting critical systems.

- Ability to delegate responsibility and communicate technical issues effectively.
