Factory Manager (FMCG/Food)
Peterhead
£60,000 to £80,000 DOE + Car Allowance + Fuel Allowance + 30 Days Holidays + Death in Service Benefit + Private Medical + Relocation Support + Pension
40 Hours per week, Flexible hours but can vary depending on the needs of the business.
Factory Manager required for a market leading manufacturer, who continuously invest in their business. They are a successful independent company who offer a personable working environment and promote further development and progression within.
The successful Factory Manager will have previous experience working within a food manufacturing environment. You will have a competent working knowledge of HACCP, BRC and retail audit requirements. You will hold an advanced food hygiene certificate and have a strong awareness of Health and Safety Legislation. Previous Management experience of a similar level is required, those looking to take a step upwards will be considered also.
The Factory Manager Role:
Oversee the entire production process and ensure all production targets are met.
Accurately log any downtime.
Identify ways in which any unmet production targets can be achieved in the most cost-effective way.
Review current production methods, identify how products can be made more efficiently, what elements of the line are reducing the throughput and how this can be overcome, and how new products can be produced.
Monitor product standards and have a sound knowledge of the quality control programs implemented.
When required, play a key role in production projects. This will involve working closely with the engineering department.
Dealing with direct reports such as Production Managers, and continually reviewing staffing levels and ensuring the correct allocation of staff is in each area.
Play a key role during site visits by customers, suppliers, and other auditing bodies.
The Successful Factory Manager:
You will have previous experience working within a food manufacturing environment.
