Your new role
As the new supported living manager in Pembrokeshire, you will support a team to deliver care to seven people over two sites located in Pembroke Dock and Haverfordwest. The main aim of your role will be to promote independence and enhance the quality of life for the people you will be supporting. You will need to assist with daily tasks and the running of their homes but also support them to enjoy hobbies and interests, including spa days, woodworking, beach trips and holidays. The main aim is to promote independence as much as possible.
Along with delivering high-quality care and support in the service, you will also need to have the right skills to manage the team and encourage the best practices to maintain the best standards. Person-centred support will be at the forefront of your decisions, and you will need to be a strong people manager, with the commitment to mentor and lead staff while maintaining compliance with CIW regulations and commissioners' contract requirements. You'll need to ensure that everyone has a voice, choice, and control in their lives.
What you'll need to succeed
Full UK Driving Licence
NVQ/QCF level 3 qualification in adult social care is also an essential requirement along with a willingness to complete Level 4/5 within 2 years.
Patient, empathetic, and has a genuine passion for supporting others.What you'll get in return
