Applications Engineer / Project Engineer / Technical Support Engineer is required to join a global manufacturer of displays, touchscreens and capacitive buttons based in Fareham.

The successful Applications Engineer / Project Engineer / Technical Support Engineer will be responsible for working with customers and ensuring that products provided are working to the high specifications and expectations of the customers.

Applications Engineer / Project Engineer / Technical Support Engineer Role

Working in an Applications & Design team, supporting with customers and ensuring correct set up and solutions provided.
Technically support the design, manufacture installation, and maintenance.
Have a strong technical understanding of sensors among other electronic devices.
Hands-on experience in electronic circuit design and debug
Familiarity with various CAD-based applications such as OrCAD, PADs, CadStar, Protel, Corel, Solidworks, ProE, Inventor, AutoCAD

To be an internal point of contact for customers queries, providing technical solutionsApplications Engineer / Project Engineer / Technical Support Engineer Requirements

Degree / HND in Electronics or Physics
Technical Customer support experience
Ability to read a BOM and Circuit diagram.
Technical knowledge of sensors and a passion to develop this.
Commercial awareness
Hands-on experience with software creation, hardware and firmware
The ability to create and test demo software.
A background of semi-conductors / Printed Electronics / Capacitive sensors / Touch sensors / Analogue and digital electronics and interfacing
Full UK Driving license and a Passport for international travel when required - commutable from Portsmouth / Southampton
