Job Title: Project Manager - Electrical & Instrumentation

Location: Middlesbrough area

Start Date: Immediate

End Date: Expected to be March 30, 2024 (Subject to extension)

TASKS

Pre-mobilization plans and pre-construction requirements, including Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) as well as Quality Plans.

Validate and create commercial budgets, along with essential reporting structures.

Evaluate the need for labor, supervision, and equipment throughout the construction phase.

Ensure that work methods are current, efficient, and aligned with company and client safety policies, as well as Occupational Health and Safety standards.

Identify and address on-site developments that necessitate special evaluation and assessment per contract terms.

Maintain adherence to the project budget and timeline.

Investigate and account for any deviations from the budgeted man-hours.

Ensure the construction organisation is appropriately staffed, with clear role and responsibility definitions at all levels and effective delegation.

Oversee project health and safety with support from the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager.

Collaborate with the Proposal Manager to prepare technical and financial proposals.

Manage project cost control and reporting.

Mentor and provide guidance to junior and intermediate staff.

Collaborate with field staff to resolve technical and constructability issues.

Administer multiple subcontracts effectively.

Prepare and maintain various reports, including those related to HSE, Procurement, Project Controls, Commercial, Quality, Engineering, and Construction.

REQUIREMENTS

Relevant experience, ideally 10 years of experience in a Project Manager role and in construction.

Preferred experience in the Oil & Gas, Power Generation, and heavy industrial sectors.

Relevant education in construction or related trades.

Ideally to hold PM certification

Proficient in project controls, estimating, scheduling, tendering, and planning.

In-depth knowledge of construction safety.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
