Managing Quantity Surveyor - Permanent - Great salary & benefits
My client are looking to hire a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial team, overseeing various contracts across the UK, including locations like Gainsborough, Burton on Trent, Wyboston, and Essex. Flexibility to travel to site/office up to three days per week is required, as site assignments may vary.
As the Managing Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a pivotal role in managing all commercial aspects of projects, involving client liaison, internal and external reporting, and third-party interactions. Your responsibilities include compiling information for reports and claims, implementing commercial applications, managing project risk, overseeing subcontractor management, and enhancing project profitability by identifying variations, delays, and claims. Additionally, you'll assist in financial reporting, negotiation, attending meetings, ensuring compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards, and undertaking other duties as necessary.
Skills & Knowledge Requirements for this role include excellent interpersonal and communication skills, financial awareness, IT proficiency, contract costing knowledge, familiarity with contract law (NEC 3 & 4, Option A, C & E), previous Quantity Surveying experience, sub-contract management expertise, and a relevant Quantity Surveying qualification. A full UK driving license is essential, along with strategic thinking, leadership, presentation, relationship-building, planning, project management, and industry knowledge skills.
