Position: Mechanical Fitter

Location: Helensburgh, Argyll & Bute

Start Date: Immediate Start

Duration: 6 Months

Shifts: Mon-Thursday 8Hrs, Fri 4Hrs

Pay Rate: TBC

The Role:

Day to day investigating and diagnosing faults, repairing and maintaining mechanical aspects of facilities.

* Carry out planned reactive maintenance and fitting on a variety of mechanical systems

* Defect identification and repair

* typical systems worked on will include - Heating and Ventilation, Generators and Compressors as well as pressure systems and other mechanical equipment and plant.

Requirements:

* Proven experience in mechanical fitting or maintenance gained within an Industrial or Commercial environment

* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings

* Works in a safe manner - able to understand statements or work, risk assessment etc

* Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces on occasion

Qualifications for the Mechanical Fitter:

* Recognised Mechanical Apprenticeship, qualified to SVQ Level 3 or equivalent (NVQ3, City&Guilds, HNC etc)

*The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC Security Clearance for this role
