Mind Professionals is a specialist mental health recruitment agency seeking a Specialty Doctor in Leeds West, Yorkshire for a Crisis Resolution Intensive Support Service.

JD:

The post is in the South Intensive Support Service (SISS). The CRISS model is based on a hub and spoke system with a centralised Crisis Service and Crisis Assessment Unit acting out of the Becklin Centre hub and three Intensive Support Services forming the locality spokes.

The psychiatrists working in the wider CRISS service will place service user needs at the centre of everything they do by working together to lead a flexible and responsive approach to medical intervention. Whilst each SAS doctor and consultant will be attached to one locality (either ISS locality or at the main Crisis base/CAU/S136) there will be consultant led communication across teams to ensure that the delivery of medical interventions will be coordinated and responsive to extreme levels of need occurring in a particular locality. The default position however will be for the SAS doctor in this post to be involved with the psychiatric care for patients under their locality Intensive Support Service only.

Responsibilities:

The SAS Dr role is:

Prioritisation of complex and risky cases who are admission vulnerable
Undertake home visits and visits elsewhere in the community depending on clinical need and expertise required (car driver)
Liaison with other professionals as required
Excellent communication skills employed
Prescribing using EPMA (Trust system)
Accurate and timely (same day) documentation of patient reviews, with clear plan with each entry on Care Director (EPR)
Application of the MCA and MHA when necessary. Must be S12 approved
Use of knowledge of safeguarding in clinical decision making

S12 required.
