We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Teacher with a focus on digital skills to join our College. The post would entail planning and delivery of targeted, discrete digital skills groups to students working at pre-entry to Level 1 across all vocational pathways ensuring that attainment gaps are identified and addressed appropriately.
The key role responsibilities are:
Liaise with curriculum area staff to identify learners / groups for targeted delivery
Create programmes of work that are accessible, innovative, current and appropriate to meet learners' individual needs
Deliver discrete digital sessions to meet awarding body criteria where relevant
Deliver discrete digital sessions to support achievement of RARPA targets where relevant
Deliver underpinning digital skills to address specific areas of need as required
Utilise remote learning platforms as part of the organisational Covid19 response as necessary
Record and track individual learners' progress in line with targets and relevant assessment criteria, including termly reporting
Develop appropriate resources to support individual learners as necessary
Liaise with the IT team and therapies team on the use of assistive technologies as necessary
Contribute to the quality assurance of this area
Person Specification:
Teaching qualification
Specialist / Subject specific qualification
Excellent digital skills
Very keen interest in digital technologies and teaching and learning
Knowledge of RARPA
Excellent communication skills
Motivated and proactive individual
Very good skills in team working
Very good organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines
