As the Duty Manager no two days will ever be the same! Your shift will include taking orders, serving food and drinks and creating a service that runs like clockwork by working closely with your enthusiastic team. You will be leading from the front, an example setter and an inspiration to your team.
Lymington is a tourist town and during the height of summer the pub will become extremely busy, so you must be able to thrive in this environment and enjoy the opportunity to get stuck in to all aspects of your role whilst remaining calm under pressure.
Customer service should be second nature to you. You will have a happy to help attitude and deal with everyone of our customers with heaps of enthusiasm.
Previous experience at a managerial level within the Hospitality industry is a must as is an understanding of rotas and labour costings. Ideally you will have experience with licencing or currently be a personal licence holder.
Duties to include:
Cash handling and banking
Maintaining a well-run bar and restaurant
Staff management and training
Communicating with the kitchen staff
Running small functions/parties
Taking and managing bookings for the restaurant
Cellar management
Stock and order process
Dealing with customers and customer complaints
Ensuring the pub is a safe environment for both staff and customers
Staff rotas
Promoting and advertising the business
Locking the pub up after shifts
