5x Mechanical Fitter - 12 Month Contract - Port Glasgow

This is an exciting role to work with a very well respected engineering specialist with a strong potential for this to go way beyond the initial 12 months.

I am looking to build a team that will work well together so multiple appliccants are welcome.

*We can only consider applicants with SC Security Clearance for this role*

Your Duties:

* Day to day investigating and diagnosing faults,

* Repairing and maintaining mechanical aspects of facilities.

* typical systems worked on will include - Heating and Ventilation, Generators and Compressors as well as pressure systems and other mechanical equipment and plant.

Your skills:

* Proven experience in mechanical fitting or maintenance gained within an Industrial or Commercial environment

* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings

* Works in a safe manner - able to understand statements or work, risk assessment etc

* Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces on occasion

Qualifications Needed:

* RSVQ Level 3 or equivalent (NVQ3, City&Guilds, HNC etc)
