When Volvo introduced the C70 they threw out the box, but kept the toy inside! The C70 was a Volvo joint venture with TWR (also responsible for the racing 850 estates!) and the result was one of the most beautiful coupes ever with dynamics to match combined with famous Volvo build quality and bullet proof reliability.

This stunning and early example is a rare C70 GT T5 factory manual model and is finished in the launch colour of Garnet Red with contrasting (as new) full leather interior. The car was bought new and owned by the original owner for 24 years and has been the subject of an extensive maintenance programme with full, documented, Volvo main dealer service history. This includes new suspension being fitted all round, rebuilt steering rack, new radiator, replacement engine mounts, replacement engine sensors, new alternator, new brakes all round, etc, etc. and other scheduled service items, irrespective of cost.

The car drives as new and everything works as it should including ice cold air conditioning, heated and electric front seats including power tilt function, electric sunroof, sensational Dynaudio prologic audio systems with 5 x 100 watt power amplifier and multi-CD, etc. The T5 (237 bhp) engine is wonderfully responsive with that wonderful 5 cylinder burble and mates perfectly with the slick manual gearbox. The car simply eats up the miles and the seats are among the most comfortable fitted to any car.

Volvo only made around 8,000 manual C70 coupes worldwide and they are rapidly becoming highly collectable. This modern classic drives like a thoroughly modern car and can be used equally well as a daily driver, or for weekend fun.

The car has a full year's MOT, new tyres and is fully serviced for the new owner. The condition is fantastic, with no rust (fully galvanised body), as new interior, is mechanically flawless and drives like new. This must be one of the best C70 coupes available anywhere and is rare in this colour combination, being the GT T5 model and having a manual gearbox.
