Candidate required: Project Manager - Fit Out and Refurbishment

On behalf of our client, ITS Building People (Southampton) are searching for an ambitious and career driven Project Manager to join a dynamic and forward-thinking Commercial, Educational and Healthcare Refurbishment company working on projects between in the Dorset area.

Due to sustained and continuous growth as well as an order book stretching well past 2024 they are looking to add to their Management team. They focus on producing high specification Commercial, Educational and healthcare Refurbishments projects across Dorset

Key Responsibilities

Assisting with running construction sites
Coordinating project programmes
Managing all trades
Liaising with clients/clients representatives
Liaising with external authorities (building control, CDM etc)
Producing weekly reports
Managing change control
Assisting with budget management
Liaising with administrator to place orders and reconcile payments
Experience, Qualifications and Skills
Experience of working as a Quantity Surveyor or Surveyor with a House Builder
Degree or HND/HNC Building Studies What we are looking for

SMSTS
First Aid
Prince 2
CSCS
Solid understanding of and demonstrable experience in a similar design and build project management role within the construction industry (approximately 2-4 years)
Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
Understanding / knowledge of furniture procurement and installation
Understanding /experience of IT, broadcast and/or networks is highly beneficial
Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise at all levels
Experience in costing documents
IT literate with experience of MS products - MS Project is highly beneficial
AutoCad skills are highly beneficial
Good commercial awareness
