We welcome students from all education establishments across Manchester who are in full time education. Montgomery House is ideal for second, third year and Post Graduate students who want a little quiet time for their studies but still great access into the City of Manchester.
Monty Halls, as it is known by its student residents, was a private student hall of residence. It has grown into a mixed community of students and young professions just starting off in their chosen careers. It shared kitchens, showers and toilets facilities are cleaned daily. And conform to all HMO (House of Multiple Occupation) requirements. The bedrooms offer more individual space to work in than traditional halls of residence. Each with personal washing facilities. When a break from studies is needed, Monty Halls offers a community of fellow students and young non-students to relax and socialise with.
There is a main building with 174 rooms and across the yard, the Annexe with a further 80 rooms. As a resident, you will have your own large room where you can have your space to study and make it a cosy retreat. Kitchens and shower facilities are shared and kept clean and tidy. The lounge areas have large screen TVs to relax and unwind and they can be a great place to gather and share events. You can be part of the social scene when you want company and relax with other students and fellow residents, or enjoy a quiet space in your room or in the gardens surrounding the buildings.
In the summer, Alexandria Park is a great place to walk and relax in an open and historic city parkland. Alexandra Park, Manchester, was designed in 1869 by Alexander Hennell and was opened to the public in 1870. Alexandria Park was the first public park that featured both recreational/sports facilities and ornamental.
Back at Montgomery House there is a large patio with space for just lounging in the sun over the weekends. With a south facing patio, sun tans are (almost) guaranteed!
With just a short bus ride to the Universities and Manchester city centre, lectures are easy to get to⦠(Not to mention the restaurants and bars and the great night life Manchester is famous for.)
Your room will be furnished with a 3/4 double bed, wardrobe, study desk & chair with space left to put your own personal items and various personal furniture items. some of the rooms look out either over a wonderful back garden or Front lawn & driveway both of which are always vibrant and green.
