We are partnered with a Huddersfield manufacturer in the recruitment of a manufacturing setter technician to join their factory team.

The role be to ensure that all changeovers are completed successfully to ensure that products are manufactured in an efficient way and in line with all appropriate safety and quality standards.

The Manufacturing Setter Technician

To change over production lines in an efficient and safe way

To set the parameters of the equipment to achieve the right quality standards

To adjust presses, rolling machines, slitters and transport mechanisms when it looks as though a problem might be developing

To correctly identify tooling issues and to work with other team members to resolve these when it looks as though a more serious problem might be developing

To take part in improvement activities

To support and advise the production Supervisor in planning change-over activities to support the production plan

To behave in a manner that is safe and that promotes GMP

To assist in training Senior Operators to adjust equipment

To work with team members to improve the effectiveness of the change-over processes

To assist in training new Setter Technicians

To take part in the Health and Safety Committee or other representation roles

The Role Requirements

2/3 years setting experience

Have an understanding of HSE rules

Understand TPM and improvement processes

Ability to work shifts or flexible working patterns when required

Relevant Engineering qualification

Salary Between £33,000 and £35,000

Monday Friday 06.00 14.00 and 14.00 22.00 with flexibility
