Reed Engineering is excited to announce that they are working with a reputable business who are in the FMCG sector, their products are a household name. They are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer on a full-time permanent basis. As the Maintenance Engineer, you will be an effective member of the maintenance team and to support the running of the factory by resolving breakdowns and by delivering planned maintenance, whilst ensuring work is carried out to the highest possible standard.

As the business is expanding, they seek reliable, highly skilled candidates of a high calibre to work within a team environment.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for reactive and proactive maintenance work; including breakdowns and planned maintenance to the packaging machinery.
Attend breakdowns and keep machinery down-time to a minimum
Responsible for completion of PPM tasks and daily checks in a timely manner.
Maintaining tools and equipment to safe working conditions.Skills and experience include:

Previous experience of working with high-speed packing machinery.
Previous experience of working in a food manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of bearings, pneumatics, electrical control systems, process control, fault diagnosis and safety
Experienced in completing routine checks and identifying preventative measures
Previous experience of mechanical handling equipment, conveyors, elevators and milling equipment.Shifts:

4 on 4 off days and nights
Rotating shift pattern
