A great opportunity for a Purchasing Manager to join an iconic Automotive brand to manage a team across their Production purchasing division
Due to an internal promotion, we are recruiting for an experienced Purchasing Manager within the Automotive sector. This role will be based out of their Gaydon offices and will be a key element to their Production purchasing division, which has seen significant growth over the last 12 months.
Leading an established team of Buyers and Senior Buyers c. 8-10, you will be responsible for the procurement of a defined range of commodity areas, in line with Procurement departmental procedures and objectives, focusing on securing strong commercial terms and excellent quality and delivery service levels from suppliers while ensuring audit compliance, reporting directly to the Senior Manager.
We are looking to speak with candidates with an understanding of the Automotive sector, whether that be from an OEM or Tier 1 supplier, with directs commodity knowledge and strong leadership and line management experience. Purchasing Manager Qualification & Experience:
* Educated to Degree level and a full member of CIPS, or at least working towards this.
* Previous Procurement experience is required within an Automotive setting, either OEM or Tier 1 supplier.
* Understanding of the strategic role of the Procurement function and ability to work at this level.
* Demonstrable ability to prioritise tasks and have effective time management and analytical skills.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Post holder should hold a full driving licence and be prepared to travel where their specific work responsibilities require.
* You must have experience in the management of a small team of Buyers/direct reports.
This role is based in Gaydon, with hybrid working 3 days in the office, 2 from home.
