W Talent Manufacturing are supporting a leading manufacturing company based in Cheshire, Our client is dedicated to delivering high-quality products and services to its customers and gone through exceptional growth in the past 2 years which he lead to high capex investment. This Manufacturer has a focus on innovation and driving continuous improvement and is now seeking a Project Manager to establish a clear capex project plan and execute it
Position Overview:
We are looking for a talented Project Manager to oversee a small team of engineers and drive the successful delivery of capital expenditure (CAPEX) and improvement projects across the manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management within installation, commissioning and improvement of manufacturing equipment, coupled with excellent leadership skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a team of engineers to plan, execute, and deliver CAPEX and improvement projects within established timelines and budgets.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, finance, and procurement, to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
* Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against milestones to ensure project success.
* Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project delivery, and implement effective solutions to keep projects on track.
* Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimise productivity and efficiency.
* Communicate regularly with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation to provide updates on project status, milestones, and key deliverables.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and health and safety guidelines throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Bachelor's degree in an Engineering Discipline is essential
* A project certification would be advantageous e.g Prince 2 or equivalent
* A NEBOSH certificate would be advantageous
* Proven experience managing capital expenditure (CAPEX) and installation, commissioning and improvement of manufacturing equipment.
* Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve project goals.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
* Solid understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
* Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
